The Director of Quality Assurance is responsible for all quality disciplines and will have the final authority in the releasing to service of all completion, modification, aircraft maintenance work and the component parts thereof.
The position is responsible for directing, planning and laying out details of inspection standards, methods and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable FAA regulations and also the Manufacturer's specifications and recommendations. Additionally, the position will oversee the Chief Inspector and the overall Inspection Department.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUCTIONS:
Determine that all technical data on all articles is completed, repaired and/or overhauled by the Repair Station and are secured and kept current with the latest revisions by the respective area inspectors.

Data will include the Repair Stations's process specifications for limited rating specalized services, manufacturers overhaul manuals, service bulletins, part specifications, related FAA approved data and other technical data used by the repair station.

Delegate the necessary authority to qualified personnel as necessary to provide for return of service aircraft, following maintenance repairs or modifications as required by FAA Regulation 145 or other applicable parts.

Ensures local compliance with all federal, state and local environmental regulations as well as internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Execute and implement recommended changes in Quality processes and organization, including industry standards and specific skill areas.

Participate in professional forums on specific issues.

Recommend changes in regulatory guidance when appropriate

Constantly strive to improve quality at a reduced cost
<font size="1">All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:</font>

<font size="1">Bachelor's Degree in related curriculum, Management Certification or equilalent level of skills and experience</font>

<font size="1">Minimum of 10 years experience in aircraft industry as it relates to Quality Assurance</font>

<font size="1">Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite</font>

<font size="1">Thorough knowledge of QA policies, procedures and all related technical datea</font>

<font size="1">Knowledge of CMP, ASC, CB, AD's and other FAA/Industry related paperwork</font>

<font size="1">A&P License required.</font>

<font size="1">Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative (DMIR) Preferred</font>

<font size="1">Membership & involvement with the American Society for Quality (ASC) Preferred</font>

<font size="1">Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.</font>
